Final Court judgment on the Commission Communication replying to the ECI ‘Minority SafePack’ (Case C 26/23 P)

On 5 June 2025, the Court of Justice dismissed the appeal against the General Court’s judgment of 9 November 2022 (case T-158/21), in which the General Court rejected the request of the organisers of the 'Minority SafePack' initiative to annul the Commission Communication replying to that initiative. The Court of Justice thus upheld the judgment of the General Court.

New version of the online collection system available

A new version of the online collection system, used by individual ECIs to collect signatures online, has been released today. It offers a more user-friendly and more secure interface, better adapted for use on a smartphone.

This new release is part of the European Commission’s efforts to continuously improve the online collection system provided free of charge to all ECIs.

Aanbesteding: beheer van het EBI-forum

De Europese Commissie heeft een aanbestedingsprocedure uitgeschreven voor het beheer van het online-samenwerkingsplatform van het Europees burgerinitiatief (EBI-forum). De aanbestedingsstukken, met inbegrip van het bestek, zijn beschikbaar op het EU-portaal “Funding & Tenders”.

Organisaties die belangstelling hebben voor deze opdracht, moeten uiterlijk op 25 juni 2025 een inschrijving indienen in een van de officiële talen van de EU.
